On December 21st 2020, I will begin hiking from coast to coast for Veteran Suicide Prevention. I will be hiking along the Southern Route of the American Discovery Trail. The Southern Route of the ADT is approximately 5,057 miles from Coast to Coast. I will be starting on the first day of Winter and I’m planning to take approximately 10-12 months to get to the West Coast but I am prepared to be flexible with both time and re-routing if necessary. I will be trekking through rolling countrysides, untamed forests, staggering mountains, barren deserts, busy cities, small towns, and everything in between. I will be crossing the 3 major mountain ranges in the Continental United States, the Appalachians, the Rockies, and the Sierra Nevada Mountains. I will be hiking through 14 National Parks, 16 National Forests, and will be passing by approximately 10,000 sites of both natural and historical significance. I will be meeting the wonderfully diverse people of America every single day and I look forward to building relationships that last a lifetime. If this sounds interesting to you, you can watch the whole journey unfold on my YouTube Channel below.
